The Black Staff Association of the United Methodist Church is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to serving the needs of black staff serving The United Methodist Church in staff positions with UMC boards, agencies, conferences, jurisdictions, and districts. BSA will work collaboratively with all segments of The United Methodist Church in order to strengthen relationships that help to equip staff to more effectively network, empower and engage missional in our communities as we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of our global world.

Social Justice Education Coordinator

Social Justice Education Coordinator, Mercy Institute Justice Team. The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, a Roman Catholic religious order located in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a full time education coordinator as part of its three-person Social Justice Team.  Primary focus: to develop education and action resources, and facilitate educational experiences and communication opportunities to engage members and ministry partners on Mercy’s justice priorities.. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; prior experience in social justice education with diverse constituencies; working knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching and systemic change; strong writing and public speaking skills; and capacity for collaboration. Also desirable: Spanish-language skills and experience in social justice advocacy.  Send cover letter and resume by August 10th to: personnel@sistersofmercy.org.
